Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintains the factory in good working order at all times.
- Verifies availability of machinery, raw and pack according to the production plan before assigning people to do the job.
- Authorizes all picking slips before and after collecting materials from stores
- Ensures equipment start-ups within required timelines
- Assigns employees tasks according to production plan in an efficient and cost- effective manner.
- Effectively controls all inventory coming in to the factory. Ensure waste is kept at a bare minimum.
- Keeps an accurate record of inventory movement at all the times
- Ensures subordinate effectiveness.
- Prepares daily reports detailing achieved results against targets.
- Prepares waste and downtime reports.
- Assesses problems and make sound recommendations to improve productivity.
- Measures performance throughout work shifts, carefully and make necessary corrections to achieve the set goals.
- Ensures quality of production is maintained.
- Safely manages waste and residual materials.
- Ensures all variances are explained within 24 hours of receiving the report.
- Prepares job documents for new employees.
- Enforces discipline based on the company code of conduct and policies.
- Supports the team to meet objectives and established schedules.
- Mobilizes employees to maintain and improve processes and performances.
- Develops, administers, and monitors remedial action plan for poor performers, if applicable.
Experience and Qualification:
- Diploma/Degree in Food Science or related
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in FMCG
