Risk Officer ( Operational, Compliance & Market risk)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide risk mitigants that do away with any obstacles that can hinder the achievement of strategic initiatives

· Reviews, develops operational risk management models, policies, and procedures

· Provides training to business units on operational risk issues

· Identifies, measures, monitors, controls and reports on market risks across the group

· Advises management committees on risk and compliance issues

· Coordinates and ensures that risk assessments and risk ratings are assigned across the business, as per group

calendar plans

· Research, gather comparator intelligence data to keep abreast with market trends

· Provides research and analytical support on relevant risk matters

· Communicates of risk policies and processes for the group to relevant teams and work streams

· Recommends risk management solutions such as business continuity plans, recovery measures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· A Bachelor’s degree in Business (Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics)

· Professional certification in Risk Management or FRM or business related management development program

· 5+ years of relevant experience

· 2+ years at managerial levels
