Overall Job Purpose
As Head of Montrose Studios, you will report directly to the CEO and act as the driving force behind the station's success. You'll lead a talented team, shape strategic direction, and ensure Montrose Studios thrives in a competitive landscape.
- Content Visionary: Develop and implement a vibrant programming policy aligned with ZBC's mission, vision, and values. Research trends, identify audience needs, and curate engaging content that resonates and inspires.
- Strategic Leader: Drive the station's business plan, set ambitious goals, and craft financial strategies that ensure sustainability and growth.
- Team Builder and Mentor: Foster a collaborative and creative environment, empowering and motivating your team to excel.
- Cultural Champion: Develop programs celebrating Zimbabwean culture and heritage, enriching listeners' lives nationwide.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of station operations, including budget management, technology infrastructure, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies, Journalism, or related Business Degree (MBA or Masters in a related field a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in the broadcasting industry, with 2+ years in a managerial position.
- Proven track record of success in content creation, strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership.
- Passion for radio, deep understanding of Zimbabwean culture, and strong communication skills.
