KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation of electrical components to machinery in controlled and non-controlled houses, farms and other company sites including security lighting.
- Trouble shooting and investigating any electrical problems or challenges at company sites.
- Prevent breakdowns of automated systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables ensuring all circuits are cleaned.
- Maintenance of existing electrical equipment as per the set maintenance schedule.
- Record keeping and stock taking of electrical related tools and equipment.
- Work to a professional standard by implementing and adhering to Health and Safety SOPS, Maintenance SOPs and company values and standards.
- Complete work orders on time and create records of materials used.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment following WAH (Work at Height) standard.
- Help during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators to ensure all biological assets are protected.
- Supervise and train others in installation and repair of electrical work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- National Certificate in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years’ of relevant experience
- Electrical skills to fix and maintain existing infrastructure
- Proven track record demonstrating individual’s ability to maintain sound relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders as well as being able to effectively lead a team of semi – skilled artisans
