Plant Operator

Main Duties

• Ensure that production targets are met
• Ensure that operational /metallurgical parameters and procedures are observed.
• Monitor inappropriate work practices and carry out corrective action as is required.
• Ensure corrective action for any variance to set metallurgical standards.
• Ensure optimum utilization of labour ,material resources and equipment.
• Ensure that safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Coordinate plant operations to ensure optimum plant efficiency.
• Liaise with Engineering on preventive maintenance & general plant maintenance.

Person Specification

• National Diploma in Mineral Processing / Metallurgy/ Chemistry or related field.
• NEC Registered Plant Operator.
• At least 5 years' experience in a similar position.
• Working knowledge of CIP is a must.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to set time frames.
