Milk Supply Development Manager

<p>Main Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the performance of the team (MSDOs and Vet Officers).</li> <li>Provide technical expertise to dairy farmer and farm workers.</li> <li>Implement strategies to increase raw milk intake share.</li> <li>Implement strategies to improve raw milk quality.</li> <li>Write business proposals.</li> <li>Ensure all producers have valid milk supply contracts.</li> <li>Ensure the maintenance and improvements of milk Quality Premium Schemes.</li> <li>Ensure all producers are assisted with queries on test results, rejections, payments, etc.</li> <li>Assist producers with heifer loan scheme administration.</li> <li>Management of farmer support on input procurement, distribution and payments.</li> <li>Advise on appropriate milk development activities including pasture development, silage and hay production.</li> <li>Attracting milk new producers including establishing new milk producer groups.</li> <li>Liaison with relevant stakeholders in the industry</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of a BSC Degree in Agriculture (Animal Sciences).</li> <li>MSc in Dairy Science &amp; Technology will be an added advantage.</li> <li>An MBA will be an added advantage.</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years&rsquo; relevant work experience is required at managerial level.</li> </ul>
