Accountant

<p>Main Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local accounting standards.</li> <li>Prepare the annual budgets of the company</li> <li>Prepare and analyse management reports and financial performance of the business against its specific targets</li> <li>Meet internal, Group and statutory reporting deadlines</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Manage the data interface between the operating system and the accounting system.</li> <li>Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization</li> <li>Manage the finance team members and provide guidance and training</li> <li>Propose process automations and efficiency improvements</li> <li>Plan, organise and execute financial tasks and projects to ensure timely and accurate reporting</li> <li>Review of balance sheet reconciliations</li> <li>Preparation of interim and year-end audit information and liaison with internal and external audit</li> <li>Preparation of other statutory &amp; legal reporting requirements</li> <li>Compliance with the Tax and regulatory authority IPEC and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe</li> <li>Cash planning and investments</li> <li>Support in the preparation of Strategy &amp; Board Packs.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accountancy (2.1 or better)</li> <li>Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIS, CIMA, CA(Z))</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree an added advantage</li> <li>At least 3 years&rsquo; experience as an Accountant</li> <li>Insurance broking experience an added advantage</li> </ul>
