Workshop Foreman

Main Duties:

• Ensuring Fleet Availability.
• Vehicle diagnosis and repairs of all vehicle faults.
• Managing all workshop tasks and Workshop idle time.
• Attending to Breakdowns and breakdown truck recovery to keep vehicle downtime at minimal.
• Ensuring regular complete Service of Fleet.
• Preventative Maintenance.
• Preparing vehicles to go through VID for COF tests.
• Mechanical repairs on trailers and Preparing trailers for annual COF tests.
• Adherence to workshop safety rules, and ensuring safe operation and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications:

• Apprentice trained NC in Motor Mechanics.
• 5 years’ experience in managing a motor vehicle workshop preferably in an FMCG set up.
• Technical training in vehicle diagnostics.
• Transport and Logistics Management qualification an added advantage.
• Experience with Volvo, Shacman & International Trucks an added advantage.
• Clean class 2 driver’s licence.
