Must have a degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or any equivalent
Must have professional qualifications such as a MBA/MBL or any other
Experience:
Must have at least 10 years in a senior managerial role.
Key deliverables:
Develops, reviews and implements the operations department’s master business plan that is aligned to the overall Group business plan.
Cascades the business plan to divisions/ mines in the Group and ensures delivery against key objectives through liaising with other Executives and Managers within the department.
Develops and oversees the delivery of divisional/ mine specific operating plans, by designing and implementing robust performance management goals, benchmarks and reporting processes, and ensuring that all operational performance risks are anticipated and addressed.
Develops and maintains a sound human resources plan for the operations function.
Proposes, develops, and implements operational budgets for the company.
Directs business operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria, and to increase return on the capital invested in the company.
