Duties and Responsibilities
\r\n\r\nRender legal opinions to the organisation and advise on changes occurring in legal fraternity
\r\n\r\nManage and negotiate contracts for the organisation
\r\n\r\nReview legal policies in line with developments affecting Banking business within the legal system
\r\n\r\nEngage external attorneys and give instruction on how to handle claims against the organisation
\r\n\r\nRecommend terms of reference of the Board Committees
\r\n\r\nAssist in the assessment of debts to be handed over for recovery by external attorneys and those to be recovered internally
\r\n\r\nDraft court papers on debt collections by the organisation against third parties.

Qualifications and Attributes
\r\n\r\nBachelor of Law Honours Degree
\r\n\r\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a Corporate Law environment
\r\n\r\nHigh level of confidentiality
\r\n\r\nGood attention to detail
\r\n\r\nGood interpersonal and communication skills
\r\n
