Head of Procurement

HEAD - PROCUREMENT

Responsibilities

• Superintends the procurement of materials, services and supplies


• Provides strategic procurement management


• Develops and implements procurement policies and procedures


• Interfaces with Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe


• Prepares and Manages tender documents and reports


• Prepares the annual procurement plan


• Manages inventory


• Manages the contracts negotiation process with suppliers


• Provides technical procurement guidance/support to line managers.


• Provides leadership to the Procurement Management Unit


• Prepares monthly and annual procurement reports

Experience and Atributes

• Must have knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23)


• Must be of high integrity


• Must have excellent communication skills


• Must have at least 5 years’ experience at Managerial level

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Procurement/Purchasing and Supply Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.


• Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Diploma ( CIPS)


• Clean class four driver’s licence
