Junior Environment, Health, Safety & Quality Office

Primary Duties

• Administering web-based system on EHSQ Incidents, Audits, Inspections, Document Control etc.
• Administering web-based system on Hazardous Chemical Substance Control.
• Carrying out Integrated Management System (IMS) Auditing Functions.
• Carrying out EHSQ Incidents Investigations.
• Coordinating & spearheading the critical Waste Control Portfolio.
• Scheduling Environmental Surveys & Assessments, and Occupational Hygiene Surveys & Assessments.
• Coordinating fulfilment of the company’s EHSQ Legal Obligations & Liabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 5 G.C.E. “O” level passes including Science, Mathematics and English at Grade B or better.
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Science & Health.
• A minimum of one year experience in the implementation & maintenance of EHSQ programmes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards

Job Competencies

• Knowledge of MS Office packages and proficiency
• Experience in EHSQ Risk assessments.
• Experience in EHS inspections and audits.
• Experience in incident investigation.
• Proficiency in report writing.
• Ability to conduct EHSQ Training, EHSQ Induction & Awareness Campaigns etc.
• Work with minimum supervision

• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Science Concepts & Principles at tertiary level
• Knowledge of Environmental Science Concepts & Principles at tertiary level
• Knowledge of Integrated Management System (IMS) Standards: ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
• Knowledge of Sustainability Concepts & Principles
• Knowledge of Waste Management Concepts & Principles
• Knowledge of the chemistry of Hazardous Chemical Substances
