Chief Accountant – Financial Reporting & Consolidation
Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidation and group interim and annual financial statements
- Review statutory and management financial statements of head office entities
- Interpret and implementing new accounting standards
- Prepare quarterly and annual Board reports
- Prepare ad-hoc management analysis and reports
- Other duties include preparation of the Annual Report, other stock exchange filings as needed, and develop and monitor all direct reports
- Handling the administration of loans and ensuring compliance with all loan conditions
- Liaison with the RBZ and ensuring compliance with all RBZ regulations (includes submission and filing of all quarterly reports)
- Group treasury function – ensuring maximum efficiencies for funds at a group level.
Requirements
- University graduate B.Acc (Hons) and professional qualifications ACCA, CIMA
- Broad IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in consolidation and review and financial reporting gained from sizable multi-national corporations
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to details
- Ability to handle multi-tasks and respond effectively to unexpected changes and requests
- Independent, self- motivated, capable to handle tight timeline
- High competence in written and spoken English
Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience and competence. The position will be on a fixed term 6 month contract renewable depending with performance and offers opportunity for a permanent position in the long run.
