RESPONSIBILITIES
- To enforce minimum standards/parameters and ensure zero harm to employees, contractors and the environment by meeting legal and SHEQ regulations/compliance as per organisations BMS.
- To apply relevant engineering expertise to ensure compliance to engineering standards.
- To prepare project management documents (capital vote applications, Gantt charts, project reports etc.)
- To carry out civil engineering related designs, design reviews and costing.
- Contractor management, leading cross functional teams
To Implement Contingency Plans to meet project deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- BSc Civil Engineering Honours
- Post graduate project management qualification e.g. PMP, MPM, PGMDPM
- Experience in contract management
- Experience in development and application of Fidic based contracts or similar contracts
- Familiarity with mining and mineral processing equipment.
- 2 years of recognized junior engineering program training
- At least 5 years working experience 3 of which should have been within a mineral processing equipment installation project environment.
- Excellent writing and computer skills.
- Exposure to computerized project management tools and techniques.
- Proven leadership qualities
