Local Enterprise Development Manager
Overall purpose:
Drive the Local Enterprise Development programme. This entails managing SME companies that the mining entity supports within its areas of operation (currently approximately 20). Tracks each company in terms of performance, ensuring adequate resourcing, facilitating skills development and ensuring that each LED company has a viable business model. The role is highly entrepreneurial.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum 7+yrs experience working in entrepreneurship / SME development or similar industry.
- Broad-based business skills with strong understanding in all general business areas (Compliance, finance, HR, marketing, Operations, etc. is required)
- Understanding of enterprise development in particular is a must.
Preference given to:
- Applicants with business mentorship/ enterprise development experience
- Experience in different roles and in diverse industries is preferred (e.g. management consulting background).
Qualification:
BSC in Business Studies/Any other relevant commercial degree
