Eight years of experience implementing OVC programs in a development context, with five of these years in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably Zimbabwe. During this period, she/he will have been involved with social services systems strengthening and social services project design, implementation, reporting and evaluation.
Demonstrated experience at mid- or senior level working in at least three of the following areas: child protection, household economic strengthening, social protection, education, health and nutrition including HIV/AIDS care and support; quality improvement; social services workforce; M&E; and operations research, in line with state-of-the-art practices.
Proven capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team to implement projects and activities.
Professional level of oral and written fluency in English
Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds
Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with donors, government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders
Ability to transfer knowledge and skills formally and informally to diverse audiences; desired.
Must be able to work independently and in teams, and represent the organisation and must have worked on a USAID HIV project
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email)
Ability to travel to the operational areas on a frequent basis as project demands.
Participate in the recruitment of OVC and Economic Strengthening project staff.
