Academic Qualifications:

B(Com) Accounting or equivalent

Must be a CA/ have completed ACCA/ CIS/ CIMA/ICAZ

MBA is an added advantage

Overall Purpose:

Focus on development and implementation of organisational Strategy, including financial & business advisory and secretarial services to the GCEO and the Board.

Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Evaluate and Appraise Capital Projects for both expansion and diversification purposes

Do all company secretarial responsibilities including taking Board minutes

Ensures adherence to organisational goals through budgetary control and other business tools put in place

Fund raising for both Capital and Working Capital Requirements for the Organisation

Designs, manages and monitors reporting systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), to all departments and to aid management decision in achievement of stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.

Ensures the timely production of accurate and complete sets of financial reports including audited financial statements;

Ensures Compliance with statutory and other regulatory requirements

Manages the human resources complement in the finance and administration department

Carry-out any other tasks as assigned by the GCEO

Decision Making:

Allocation and prioritisation of financial resources

Product pricing in consultation with GCEO and Sales

Capital Expenditure in consultation with GCEO and Operational GMs

Departmental restructuring in consultation with GCEO and HR

Setting up operational procedures for the department as well as giving direction to staff

Problem Solving:

Meeting deadlines for management and audited statutory reports

Liquidity challenges especially for Capital Expenditure

Formulating accurate business plan/ budget in this cash strapped economy
