Participates in the development of the annual training plans by drawing up objectives and content, activities, budgets, dates and timetable to meet programme objectives.
Develops individual annual workplans activities like equipment, courses to be conducted, examination dates, follow ups and technical support to be given and submit them to the Senior Training Officer.
Prepares budget for each course/training activity.
Plans and prepares for each course by establishing course objectives, reviewing and setting appropriate content and teaching methods, preparing the course programme schedule, learning materials/aids recruitment of participants and ordering of training materials.
Participates through meetings in the development and evaluation of new curricula and training materials.
Organizes by arranging all the administrative functions relating to participants' attendance, accommodation, meals, transport allowance, certification, reproduction of teaching/learning materials and equipment.
Liaises with Service Delivery staff for conducting practicals in the field and writing up of a budget for submission.
Manages the Training Unit library by ordering appropriate books for training, maintaining library register and keeping track of borrowed books as well as distributing.
Initiates and conducts research related to training needs.
