Qualifications and experience:
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- Diploma in Project Management.
- Five years’ relevant experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To maximize the successful running and commercial control of each project.
- Assists the Company with planning and scheduling new work and in dealing with incoming enquiries in order to provide best value and timely services to clients.
- Assist in marketing of the Company.
- Assist the Commercial Manager, Projects Manager and Site Managers on legal and financial aspects to reduce the Company’s exposure to risk on projects.
- Produce cash flow forecasts based on the project programme and update as work proceeds.
- Produce a detailed cost plan / procurement schedule for the each project.
- Ensure subcontract orders are placed in line with projects financial targets, the program and/or procurement schedule.
- Identify and properly value all variations to the contract, and seek to pre-cost and agree same with Client or their representative wherever possible.
Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry.
- Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement, SMM7.
- Driving licence
- Excellent IT skill – particularly Construction packages.
- Excellent Project Management skills
